A GREEN CHLORITE SCHIST FIGURE OF GAJALAKSHMI KASHMIR, CIRCA 700 5 3/4 in. (14.6 cm) high Footnotes: 克什米爾 約700年 片岩帶象吉祥天像 This small Kashmiri, pseudo-Hellenistic stele of Lakshmi, depicts the goddess of fortune seated on her lion. She holds a transmuted form of cornucopia in her left hand, her right hand holds a lotus below her raised knee. She wears striated garments in a pseudo-Hellenistic style. Her striated hair is swept back and held by a plain fillet. A column on her proper left shows a single remaining elephant lustrating her. The goddess is set on a tall integral molded pedestal.
