(33.3 x 24.7 cm); Image: 10 1/2 x 6 3/4 in. (26.7 x 17.1 cm) Footnotes: As 'dark morph' falcons, such as this, do not typically have uniformly dark plumage, this bird was likely a ruler's prized falcon. Possibly a shaheen falcon, the bird of prey is presented on a simple perch, secured by a twisted gold wire and framed emerald locket.
