A GROUP OF SIX GLASS HAIRPINS Two with the inscription of 'Da Song' to the finials, Song Dynasty or later Comprising: a transparent glass hairpin of cylindrical body with a finial of sunflower-head shape; a blue glass hairpin with a pointed terminal and a turquoise blue finial with an inscription reading Da Song; a transparent glass hairpin encircled by several turquoise blue bands to the upper body, the finial inscribed with two characters reading Da Song; a blue and white glass hairpin of rectangular shape with a finial and a pointed terminal; a transparent hairpin painted with coral red to the interior with a looped finial; fitted box. The longest: 18cm (7 1/8in) long (7).
