A PAIR OF FAMILLE VERTE 'ANIMALS AND BIRDS' DISHES Kangxi Boldly and brightly enamelled with a central floral cartouche within eight large petal-shaped radiating panels variously depicting mythical animals and birds on rocky floral outcrops, all within a green-seeded band around the rim reserved with eight cartouches of exotic butterflies, the reverse with a conch shell depicted in underglaze blue within a double circle. 28.5cm (11 1/4) diam.
