A RARE PAIR OF CHINESE IMARI BALUSTER JARS AND COVERS Kangxi Densely painted in underglaze blue and enamelled in iron-red and gilt with a large long-tailed golden pheasant perched on a tall plinth of blue rockwork between lavishly blossoming leafy branches of tree peony and smaller blossoms, the shoulder and top of the spreading foot with a band of zig-zag pattern, the covers ensuite and set with a biscuit and turquoise-glazed seated lion finial. 50cm (19 3/4in) high.
