A COLLECTION OF CARVED WOOD NETSUKE 19th century, one signed Masanobu and one Joryu Comprising: a wood netsuke seated snarling tiger, the eyes inlaid in ivory, signed Masanobu; a figure holding a basket, signed Joryu; a wood netsuke depicting a group of four blind men fighting; and a wood netsuke depicting a demon clambering over an overturned basket beneath which is trapped the demon-queller Shoki. 4cm (1 5/8in) long (4). Footnotes: 十九世紀 木雕根付 一組 《正信》《如柳》款 Provenance: an English private collection. The item within this lot containing ivory has been registered in accordance with the Ivory Act (Section 10).
