A GEORGE GERSHWIN AND PIERRE MONTEUX SIGNED SF SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PROGRAM. GERSHWIN, GEORGE. 1898-1937; and PIERRE MONTEUX. 1875-1964. Signatures ('Sincerely, / George Gershwin' and 'Pierre Monteux / 1937') on p 25 of Playbill listing the Programme of the January 15-16th performances of Gershwin with the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra, 210 x 290 mm, signed at center, opened to pp 24-25 spread, matted with photograph of Gershwin and Monteux and framed to 620 x 480 mm. Gershwin performed his both his Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, F Major and Suite from 'Porgy and Bess' with the SFSO, Monteux conducting. At the February performance of the show, Gershwin experienced blackouts and coordination issues that led to the discovery of his brain tumor.
