Pen and ink drawing by Rackham on half-title, 15 color mounted plates and illustrations in text. Publisher's blue cloth stamped in gilt, pictorial endpapers, original dust jacket. Jacket darkened and heavily chipped at spine ends, with repair to hinge of back panel, cloth slightly sunned, some foxing and offsetting. FIRST TRADE EDITION, WITH AN EXTRA DRAWING BY RACKHAM, SIGNED below the illustration on the half-title and dated '17-2-10.' Latimore & Haskell pp 34-35; Riall p 93.
