EIGHT GOOD LUCK CHARM SILVER-PLATED NAPKIN RINGS New England, late 19th century, 1. Triangular napkin ring with tent walls suspended between wishbones, inscribed 'Best Wishes' on one side, the other with the letter h, plaque base impressed with mark of Wilcox Silver Plate Co. (Meriden, Connecticut, 1865-98), no. 4347. 2. Napkin ring in the form of a hatched eggshell inscribed 'Best / Wishes' and 'Florence.' mounted against chick figure on wishbone base, disk impressed with elaborate mark of Derby Silver Co. (Birmingham, Connecticut, 1873-98), no. 335. 3. Unsigned napkin ring inscribed 'BEST WISHES' mounted on bird and wishbone base, impressed mark '70 / E' on bottom of ring. 4. Napkin ring with cast c-scroll edges and molded wishbone beside inscription 'Good Wishes', engraved 'Elmer' on back, unsigned. 5-6. Two napkin rings inscribed 'Best Wishes' between scroll-molded edges, soldered to a wishbone and raised on pillar above conforming round base, impressed with mark of Wilcox Silver Plate Co., no. 4377, (one pin loose from base). 7. Napkin ring with cast scroll border engraved 'Best Wishes' soldered to wishbone and turkey claw base, and flanked by a cupid figure, all raised on a heart-shaped plaque with three ball feet, impressed with mark of Wilcox Silver Plate Co., no. 4376. 8. Raking horseshoe inscribed 'Bonheur' surrounds napkin ring at a raking angle from base, which is raised on ball feet and impressed with mark of J.W. Tufts (Boston, Massachusetts, 1875-91), no. 1540.
