Footnotes: Provenance Courtesy of the artist Artist statement: Nancy Evans is a multidisciplinary artist who works across performance, sculpture, and painting. One of the 39 artists in Made in L.A .: Acts of Living 2023, the four paintings and one sculpture that made up her presentation, were imaginative projections of rural areas of the San Joaquin Valley in California where she was raised. Evans graduated with a BA in sculpture from UC Berkeley in 1972 and moved to Los Angeles in 1981.
