TWO EMBROIDERED SILK PANELS, ONE AFTER MATSUMURA KEIBUN (1779-1843) Meiji era (1868-1912), late 19th/early 20th century Each worked in predominantly silk and cotton threads with a dove in flight among blooming chrysanthemums, thistles, morning glories and irises beneath trailing wisteria on a red silk ground; one panel with signature Keibun hitsu (Brushed by Keibun) and seal Keibun. Each panel: 330.5cm x 113.5cm (130 1/8in x 44½in). (2). Footnotes: Please also refer to the footnote in the preceding lot. The signature indicates the work was embroidered after a design by the well-known bird-and-flower painter Matsumura Keibun. Lot to be sold without reserve.
