Brass Barreled Blunderbuss, late 18th century. 15 4/8 in., large caliber barrel with cannon muzzle, ring decorated breech with London Company of Gunmaker's proof marks; flat lock with stepped tail marked 'TOWER' and crown over 'GR' with crowned broad arrow below the pan; walnut stock; brass furniture including a British land pattern musket trigger guard engraved 'LI/84' on the bow; Short Land Pattern-style butt plate engraved 'R-GREGORY,' flat side plate with pointed tail, cast brass rammer and entry pipes; steel rammer with ball head. Overall lg. 31 1/2 in. Condition: Brass toned to yellow; lock toned to deep brown; stock has scattered dings and dents and stains; lock functions but is rough.
