À la suite d'une formation de céramiste dans le sud de la France, il développe ses connaissances des techniques et matériaux dans diverses manufactures françaises. C'est en 1973 qu'il fonde son atelier dans le Midi qu'il quitte dix ans plus tard pour la Bretagne. Simultanément, tant en France qu'à l'étranger, il participe à de nombreux salons et expositions. Progressivement, sa maîtrise des émaux éblouit : un habillage des formes très pures, rejoignant ainsi la haute tradition de la céramique millénaire. Paul Badié part pour les Etats-Unis en 1985 et entreprend des recherches pour la mise au point de la céramique « assistée par ordinateur » et se dirige vers l'enseignement, partageant maintenant sa vie entre la France et le Cambodge. Born in 1945, Paul Badié spent his first ten years in Cambodia. After training as a ceramist in the south of France, he developed his knowledge of techniques and materials in various French factories. In 1973, he founded his workshop in the South of France, which he left ten years later for Bretagne. At the same time, both in France and abroad, he took part in numerous shows and exhibitions. Progressively, his mastery of enamels dazzles: a dressing of very pure forms, thus joining the high tradition of the millenary ceramics. Paul Badié left for the United States in 1985 and undertook research for the development of 'computer-assisted' ceramics and turned to teaching, now sharing his life between France and Cambodia.
