Vase quadruple en forme de bambous, Wedgwood, vers 1810 A Wedgwood caneware quadruple bamboo vase, circa 1810 With four standing bamboo stems highlighted in blue and white encaustic enamels, the irregularly shaped base with incised texture and mottled in tones of green and yellow, 26.5cm high impressed 'WEDGWOOD' Footnotes: A pair of similar vases is illustrated by Harry M Buten, Wedgwood Rarities 1969, p.290 and a larger example in buff and green enamels by David Buten, 18th Century Wedgwood, 1980, p.176. These vases were also made in blue jasper with applied rather than painted decoration. A triple bamboo vase of larger size and slightly different composition was sold at Bonhams Knightsbridge from the collection of Leo Kaplan, 11 July 2018, lot 257.
