A collection of eight South Staffordshire enamel snuff and pill boxes and a similar etui case together with a papier mache oval snuff box and a Samson enamel snuff box Late 18th/early 19th century and later The South Staffordshire pieces comprising a large rectangular shallow box painted en-grisaille with a rustic scene of courting couple, three miniature oval boxes, the lid of one printed with a three mast ship, the other two with motto's inscribed 'Accept this as a Token of my ESTEEM', and a 'A trifle from Lucas ELY', a slightly larger oval box decorated with a seated maiden holding a bird on a lavender blue ground, two other small rectangular boxes and a circular box, the hinged lid and sides painted with panels of sprays of garden flowers on a blue ground, the etui of typical tapering oval form similarly decorated, the papier mache box of oval form decorated with flowers on a red ground, the Samson box of canted rectangular form with floral garlanded decoration, the lid painted with an oval inscribed 'May you be Happy' beneath a crowned heart and flanked by putti, the inner lid with painted red factory mark, the largest box, 8cm wide, the smallest box, 4.5cm wide, the etui, 10cm long (10) For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing

Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
