Acquired from the above by the present owner. Mikhail Levin, who became known as Michelet, was born in Kiev. He moved to France where he joined the Russian artistic community and became friends with the famous artist Bakst. With the dawn of the sound era in cinema during the 1930s, Michelet established himself as a notable presence in the film industry. As the shadows of World War II began to loom over Europe, he made the pivotal decision to relocate to Hollywood, where he continued to flourish professionally, contributing his talents to both film productions and musical performances. His artistic legacy reached a particularly memorable pinnacle when he received the distinguished honor of performing at the White House during the Reagan administration.
