TWO MOTHER-OF-PEARL-INLAID BLACK LACQUER BOXES AND COVERS 17th century Comprising: a octafoil lacquered box and cover inlaid with pieces of mother-of-pearl, the lid decorated with a qilin amid trees and rocks, the sides of the box inlaid with floral patterns, Japanese box, 15cm (5 7/8in) long; and a hexagonal lacquered box and cover, the centre of the cover inlaid with a panel enclosing a gentleman seated beside a river and attended by a boy in a mountainous landscape, the sides of the cover adorned with floral sprays and geometric pattern, the box similarly decorated 8.2cm (3 1/4in) high. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
