A TIXI RED AND BLACK LACQUER DISH Yuan/Ming Dynasty The dish of circular form with shallow rounded sides, well carved in relief through multiple layers of black and cinnabar red with bands of ruyi-head surrounding a central flower head, the exterior further adorned with a band of ruyi-head, the base lacquered black and inscribed with two characters in red, with a Japanese wood box. 31.6cm (12 1/2) diam.
