Roger Moore: A Custom-made Striped Blazer worn by Roger Moore for his role as Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders!, ITV, 1971, double-breasted blazer, wide maroon and green stripes, hopsack weave, polished brass buttons, single-button gauntlet cuffs and slanted pockets, marked R. Moore, Esq. May 70 on inside pocket label reading Cyril A Castle, 42 Conduit St. London, W.1., with letter of provenance, custom made Footnotes: The Persuaders! was a British action comedy television series starring Roger Moore at Tony Curtis, produced by ITC Entertainment, and initially broadcast on ITV and ABC in 1971. This suit was designed by Roger Moore himself, as many of the clothes on the show were, for his character Lord Brett Sinclair. At the time Moore was the director of cloth merchant Pearson + Foster, which made suits for both him and Tony Curtis in The Persuaders!. This blazer is one of the most iconic items of clothing associated with the show and the most featured on-screen. Screen-matched in episodes including: 'The Gold Napoleon', 'The Man in the Middle', 'Someone Like Me', 'The Ozerov Inheritance', 'Someone Waiting' and 'Five Miles To Midnight' and more. Roger Moore also wore this blazer in publicity photos for the show and it can be seen on The Roger Moore figure that comes with the Corgi model toy car. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
