DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. Collection of 8 Documents Signed by the signers of the Declaration of Independence: 1. BARTLETT, JOSIAH. 1729-1795. Autograph Document Signed ('J. Bartlett') as Selectman of Kingston, a pay order for Capt John Lad, Jr, for taking care of Sarah Welch, January 3, 1769, countersigned by William Sleeper. 2. HARRISON, BENJAMIN. 1726-1791. Autograph Document Signed ('Benj. Harrison'), a land grant for soldier of the Continental Army, John McDougal, a drummer for the Virginia State Line, 166 x 88 mm, Council Chamber, April 1, 1783, countersigned by Thos Meriwether. 3. HART, JOHN. 1713-1779. Engraved Currency Signed ('John Hart'), a New Jersey six shilling note, 108 x 65 mm, Burlington, NJ, Printed by Issac Collins, March 25, 1776, countersigned by John Stevens, Jr, and Jonathan Deare. 4. MCKEAN, THOMAS. 1734-1817. Document Signed ('Tho McKean') on vellum, a land deed for mining for Thomas Willing, 310 x 525 mm, Philadelphia, October 10, 1806, countersigned by his nephew T.M. Thompson as secretary. 5. MORTON, JOHN. 1725-1777. Autograph Endorsement Signed ('John Morton, Sheriff') on the verso of a writ for a land seizure, 150 x 78 mm, ink on paper, [Chester County, May 1, 1767], trimmed, and laid-down, window mounted in a larger sheet. 6. ROSS, GEORGE. 1730-1779. Document Signed ('Geo: Ross , 'Atty for Deft by Specl Warrt') at the base of a plea for damages in a debt case, 1 p, 320 x 195 mm, Lancaster County, PA, November term, 1763, closed tear at center fold, window mounted in a larger sheet. 7. WILSON, JAMES. 1742-1798. Autograph Endorsement Signed ('Wilson') to the verso of a legal summons, giving the address for the defendant, 'the Corner near Saml Finlays,' 209 x 158, July 24, 1773, countersigned by John Agnew to recto, and Ephraim Blaine to verso. James Wilson is the only person to have signed both the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and to have served as a United States Supreme Court Justice. 8. --. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories excluding Arms & Armour, Coins and Medals, Motor Cars, Motorcycles, Wine & Whisky
28% on the first $50,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $50,000 up to and including $1,000,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $1,000,000 up to and including $6,000,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of $6,000,000.
A 3rd-party bidding platform fee (the "3rd-party bidding platform fee") equal to 4% of THE BID PRICE shall be payable by buyers whose successful bid is submitted via 3rd-party bidding platforms, including Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.

Oversized Lots
Please note that all lots marked with a W in the catalog are oversized and subject to additional storage and shipping methods. All additional lots purchased with W lots are considered group lots and will be subject to the same terms as W lots.
