THREE GEM-SET RINGS 1st: Diamond-set rings Cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, one deficient Ring size approx. O 2nd: Enamel, pearl and diamond ring half-pearl rose-cut diamonds Ring size approx. L 3rd: Gem-set ring Cushion-shaped green paste, one deficient Seed pearls, one deficient Oval-cut garnet 18 carat gold UK hallmark Ring size approx. N Total weight approx. 8.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Surface wear to the unhallmarked and hallmarked metal (1st: hoop testing as 18ct gold, 2nd: hoop testing as 16ct gold). 1st: Rubbed, indistinct mark to inner hoop, one possibly maker's mark TB. Diamonds bright and lively, one deficient and some with minor abrasions to the facet edges. 2nd: Strip of discolouration visible to inner hoop with some porosity to reverse, possibly due to resizing. Eye visible loss to enamel-work, some areas revealing metal base. Diamonds displaying a soft lustre. Cultured half pearl displaying a white body colour with rose overtones and a medium lustre. Some dimples and wrinkles visible to pearl under 10x magnification. 3rd: Spots of discolouration eye visible to setting. Inner hoop stamped with UK hallmark for 18ct gold, poorly struck date letter (possibly q). One pearl deficient. Green paste displaying a medium green hue, one deficient. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
