2004 Red Sox American League Championship Series Game 4 Comeback 20th Anniversary Commemorative Painted Cow Dawn Evans Scaltreto, Dated 2024 featuring a Fenway Park scene, a Red Sox cap and red socks ending in white hoof cleats, commissioned by Lucchino. Footnotes: Note This reenactment of the 2004 Red Sox/Yankees historic Game 4 of the American League Championship Series, jumpstarting one of the greatest comebacks in sports history, is a 'moo-ving' experience! One side of the cow's belly shows the iconic Fenway Park scoreboard, with the 12-inning final score of Boston 6-4 over the New York Yankees, made possible by Dave Robert's daring steal in the 9th inning and subsequent score to tie the game. The Green Monster also show Wally and fans in his namesake seats; the Red Sox and Jimmy Fund logos, iconic Citgo sign and players Manny Ramirez, Johnny Damon and Trot Nixon in the outfield; the John Hancock sign, and bleachers with 'We Believe in the Idiots' sign. The cow's face features other Boston landmarks including the Paul Revere Statue, Charles River, Bridge, Massachusetts State House, Zakim Bunker Hill Memorial Bridge, etc. and blue sky overhead. The other side shows the Pesky Pole, Red Sox dugout, Budweiser sign, Sox retired numbers, manager Tito Francona, Pedro Martinez pitching, Kevin Millar at first base, catcher Jason Varitek and David Ortiz holding up the number 1 sign. A sign in the stand reads '1918-2004 We Believed' and another reads 'Finally.' An image in gray of Babe Ruth is in the stands with the fans, a reminder of the Curse of the Bambino finally broken in 2004.
