TWO CULTURED PEARL NECKLACES 1st: Cultured pearl and seed pearl necklace with diamond-set clasp Three rows of 3.1-8.2mm cultured pearls Seed pearls, one seed pearl simulant Rose-cut diamonds Length of shortest strand very approx. 50.0cm 2nd: Cultured pearl necklace 3.4-7.6mm cultured pearls Circular-cut paste Silver clasp Length 57.0cm Total weight approx. 77.0g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Some surface wear to the unhallmarked white metal (1st: reverse of clasp testing as 9ct gold) and silver. Clasps secure. CULTURED PEARLS Round/off-round cultured pearls displaying a cream body colour with rose and green overtones and a medium lustre. 1st: Nacre mostly smooth with wrinkles, pimples and dimples visible under closer inspection. Ringing and discolouration eye visible to some pearls. 2nd: Nacre smooth with some minor areas of wrinkling and pimples visible under 10x magnification. Areas of fraying visible to string and some discolouration, residue present to clasp. Would benefit from professional attention and cleaning. DIAMONDS Rose-cut diamonds displaying a soft lustre. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
