ENAMEL BROOCH/PENDANT; DIAMOND-SET BROOCH AND WATCH, CIRCA EARLY 20TH CENTURY 1st: Enamel, seed pearl and diamond brooch/pendant, circa 1900 Turquoise guilloché and white enamel heart Seed pearls Rose-cut diamonds Mounted in silver and gold Length 2.5cm 2nd: Diamond-set brooch, circa 1900 Old brilliant and single-cut diamonds, approx. 0.65ct total Mounted in silver and gold Length 6.0cm 3rd: Diamond-set cocktail watch, circa 1920 Single-cut diamonds, approx. 0.60ct total Length 14.4-23.4cm (adjustable) Total weight approx. 35.0g (3) Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION 1st: Light scratches visible to the unhallmarked metal (testing as silver and low carat gold). Spots of discolouration to reverse. Detachable brooch fitting in good working order. Pin straight with moderate tension. 2nd: Some scuffs, scratches and tarnishing visible throughout the unhallmarked metal (testing as 14ct gold and silver). Later brooch fitting. Good tension in the pin. Slight bend to the base of the pin, appears secure but would benefit from professional attention. 3rd: Scuffs and scratches visible to the unhallmarked metal (case testing as platinum, strap testing as 9 carat gold) Some eye visible foxing to the dial. Underside of buckle clasp on strap with maker's mark JG&S possibly for John Grinsell & Sons Ltd and stamped 9CT. Inside case and inner clasp numbered. Movement with maker's mark P.W.C. Sliding buckle clasp in good working order. ENAMEL Bubbles visible throughout the turquoise guilloché enamel under 10X magnification. DIAMONDS Diamonds with some chips and inclusions visible under 10X magnification. WATCH Jewelled manual wind, signed P.W.C. Not currently running, will require attention before seeing use.
