CULTURED PEARL AND GEM-SET NECKLACE 8.5-8.8mm cultured pearls Single and brilliant-cut diamonds, approx. 0.25ct total Pear-shaped rubies Length of shortest strand very approx. 78.0cm Weight approx. 165.5g Footnotes: OVERALL CONDITION Light surface wear to the unhallmarked metal (reverse of clasp testing as 13ct gold). Clasp tongue stamped 18CT. Clasp secure. CULTURED PEARLS The cultured pearls displaying a white body colour with green and silver overtones of varying intensities and a medium to high lustre. Nacre predominantly smooth with some minor dimples and wrinkles visible under 10x magnification. Some fraying visible, would benefit from restringing. RUBIES Untested rubies displaying a medium purplish pink hue with good transparency. Inclusions visible under closer inspection, some minor chips and abrasions to the facet edges under 10x magnification. DIAMONDS Principal stone estimated as I/J colour, SI1 clarity. Assessed in mount. Remaining diamonds bright and lively. This condition report is provided for your convenience based on the opinion of our gemmologists. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
