Singleton of Dufftown 54 Year Old Paragon of Time No.2, 1966 (1x 70cl) Region: Speyside, single malt Fill Level: filled to 70cl Cork: accompanied with crystal stopper Label: engraved labelling Packaging: in original bespoke, leather-lined wooden cabinet. Alcohol content: 44.1% ABV Notes: Distilled and bottled by The Singleton Distillery. Bottle number 223 out of 235 Baccarat crystal decanters. Matured in an oak butt cask, with a final maturation in a pedro-ximenez sherry-seasoned cask. Footnotes: The Paragon of Time series celebrates the oldest and rarest expressions ever released by The Singleton of Dufftown. Producer Tasting Notes: Nose: Mellow, mild and dry overall. The top-note is richly winey, suggestions of maraschino cherry, wax furniture polish, earthy floors, sweet fruit. A drop of water introduces a note of mint toffee. Palate: Beginning fruity and becoming spicy. Christmas cake in a glass, clove-studded oranges, bitter sweet hint of burnt raisins. Finish: Long, warming and elegantly drying, with a light yet spicy sweetness.
