Todd Oldham, collection Prêt à Porter Automne/Hiver 1992. Jupe 'Old Master - New Mistress' entièrement brodée. Création Todd Oldham. « Vieux Maître – Nouvelle Maîtresse » C'est un exemple de l'égalitarisme exaltant d'Oldham, de son mélange espiègle de haut et de bas. Dans sa description de la pièce (tout les descriptifs des défilés sont écrits par le créateur lui même), Oldham déclare que la jupe a été inspirée par un épisode des Trois Stooges qu'il a vu dans sa jeunesse, dans lequel les personnages étaient confondus avec des créateurs de mode. Sur le devant se trouve une version brodée du tableau de la Joconde de Léonard de Vinvi et au dos se trouve une version pailletée d'un tableau de friperie. Condition d'état: B -. N.B.: Modèle identique dans les collection du Metropolitan Museum de New York, 2002.193.38. Taille approximative/Approximative size: FR 40. Fall/Winter 1992 Ready to Wear collection. Fully embroidered 'Old Master - New Mistress' skirt. 'Old Master – New Mistress' It is an example of Oldham's exhilarating egalitarianism, his impish mix of high and low. In his description of the piece (all of the show's labels are written by the designer), Oldham states that the skirt was inspired by an episode of the Three Stooges he saw in his youth, in which the pratfall-ers were mistaken for fashion designers. On the front is an embroidered version of the Mona Lisa and on the back is a sequined version of a thrift store painting. Condition grade: B -.
