Three English delftware plates, circa 1730-70 The larger probably Bristol or Liverpool, painted in red, green, yellow, blue and manganese with an unfurled scroll, 36.2cm diam, the others in red, green, yellow and blue, one Vauxhall, with a cockerel before a vase and basket of flowers, 26.4cm diam, the other Lambeth, with a parrot perched on a branch issuing from rockwork before flowering plants, 30.8cm diam (3) Footnotes: Provenance With Gabor Cossa, 1977 (parrot) With Jonathan Horne, 2001 (largest) Graham Slater Collection An identical plate with a cockerel is illustrated by Michael Archer, Delftware (2013), p.120, no.B62, where the author references a fragmentary butter bowl with the same pattern found on the site of the Vauxhall pottery.
