An interesting collection of creamware, late 18th and early 19th century Comprising a cylindrical teapot inscribed 'E. THORLEY/ 1777' in red, within an elaborate foliate scroll cartouche in purple, the reverse with a rose spray in purple, a mug inscribed in red 'S. Haycock/ Kings. Head/ Twickenham' within a quatrefoil cartouche, flanked by sprays of cherries and flowers, a mug inscribed 'Elizabeth Ragg/ Born Jan,y 9 1823' within a red and black cartouche, a miniature or toy baluster coffee pot inscribed with the initials 'EB' in black, the reverse with a rose spray in red and green, a small cream jug inscribed 'J.G/ 1778' in red, within a floral cartouche in red, green, yellow and black, together with a Dutch-decorated baluster milk jug and a small plate of Royal interest, both painted in colours with double portraits of Prince William V and Princess Sophia Wilhelmina of Orange, the jug inscribed 'FSW' and 'PVOR', the plate inscribed 'PV OR' and 'Daar Zag ik Doe/ Oranje booven' (That I will do/ long live Orange), tallest 13cm high (7) Footnotes: Provenance With Islwyn Watkins Antiques, 1991 (teapot) With Garry Atkins, 1999 (Haycock) Graham Slater Collection The 'Haycock' mug exhibited was at the People's Pots Exhibit, no.14A.
