'Spirit of Ecstasy'- Bronze de Showroom d'après Charles Sykes (1875 - 1950) Grande sculpture en bronze finement ciselé à patine dorée, signée d'après Charles Sykes. A l'origine, destinée à orner les showrooms des concessionnaires Rolls-Royce après sa création en 1911. Charles Sykes s'inspira de l'actrice et mannequin Eleanor Thornton, secrétaire et maitresse du Baron Montagu de Beaulieu, célèbre amateur de la marque. Cette sculpture a été réalisée en utilisant une statuette originale du showroom Rolls-Royce des années 1930 comme modèle. Réplique contemporaine de la fameuse statuette en édition limitée à 50 exemplaires, montée sur un socle en bronze et marbre. Haut. 67 cm et 36 cm d'envergure des ailes. Originally designed for display in the showrooms of Rolls-Royce dealers after it was created in 1911. Charles Sykes took his inspiration from the actress and model Eleanor Thornton, secretary and mistress of Baron Montagu of Beaulieu, the celebrated marque enthusiast. This sculpture was made using an original Rolls-Royce showroom statuette from the 1930s as a model. A contemporary replica of the famous statuette in a limited edition of 50 examples, mounted on a bronze and marble base. Heigh 67 cm and 36 cm wingspan.
