Jugulaire complète, comportant le nom et le numéro matricule K 53339, correspondant à Coll Edward James du 14th Canadian Hussards RCAC, inhumé au cimetière de Bretteville sur Laize. Pièce jamais touchée ni démontée, dans son jus d'origine. A noter une certaine patine et usure de la pièce. Trouvée à la fin des années 1990 dans la famille d'un ancien parachutiste allemand qui s'était établi en Normandie après la guerre. Illustrée page 69 du livre 75 objets du Débarquement de Normandie. Attestation originale de provenance signée de Bertrand Paris jointe avec un exemplaire de l'ouvrage. Metal shell, Canadian paintwork at 90%. Complete interior, worn. Headgear, 1943, BMB, size 7. Chinstrap complete, with the name and serial number K 53339, corresponding to Colonel Edward James of the 14th Canadian Hussars RCAC, buried in Bretteville sur Laize cemetery. The item has never been touched or disassembled, all original. Note some wear and tear and discoloration on this item. Found in the late 1990s with the family of a former German paratrooper, who had settled in Normandy after the war.
