India, Jaipur Rajasthan, 19e / 20e eeuw, collier met 22 kt. gouden ornamenten, Maduli, bestaande uit vier bundels met groene glaskraaltjes, twee ervan gedecoreerd met een rozetvormig ornament, bezet met een roosgeslepen (synthetische) robijn, afgewisseld met gouden ornamenten. De ornamenten bezet met turkoois en gedecoreerd met een motief van granules. Het staafvormige centrale ornament, de Maduli, Bengaals voor amulet, bestaat uit drie bolvormen (Timaniya; drie edelstenen) afgewisseld met bloemen en bezet met (synthetische) robijn en turkoois. Aan een rood- en groen gevlochten koord. Provenance: Collectie Indiase juwelen uit de nalatenschap van een Italiaanse diplomaat [1] bruto 186,0 gr., lengte 113 cm. India, Jaipur Rajasthan, 19th / 20th century, necklace with 22 kt. gold ornaments, 'Maduli', consisting of four bundles with green glass beads, two of them decorated with a rosette-shaped ornament, set with a synthetic rose-cut ruby and interspersed with gold ornaments. The ornaments set with turquoise and decorated with granulé.
