Großer Fotonachlass von Ludwig Fabricius (1921 - 2002) - Kommandant von U 821Umfangreicher Nachlass des jüngsten U-Bootskommandanten der deutschen Kriegsmarine. In mehreren Fotoalben bzw. auf losen Fotos ist die Marinelaufbahn des Offiziers dargestellt. Fotos aus der Zeit der Ausbildung, viele Bilder von U-Booten, Turmaufnahmen, Fotos aus dem Bootsinneren, Portraits. Weiterhin Feldpostbriefe, Ansichtskarten, Ausweise und weitere Dokumente. Aus der Familie zusätzlich Fotoalbum bzw. lose Fotos der kaiserlichen Marine (Vater) und Luftwaffe des 2. Weltkrieges. Auch hier sehr interessante Fotos aus militärhistorischer Sicht. Die Objekte in unterschiedlichem Zustand bzw. Größen, z.T. Repro-Fotos. Aufgrund der großen Anzahl der Gegenstände und Fotos ist eine Vorbesichtigung zu empfehlen. Ludwig Fabricius trat am 1.2.1939 als Offiziersanwärter in die Kriegsmarine ein. Als Wachoffizier (WO) fuhr er auf den Booten U 95, U 210, U 666. Im September 1943 übernahm er das Kommando von U 821, später das Schulboot U 30 und zu Kriegsende U 721, das am 8.5.1945 in der Geltinger Bucht (bei Kiel) selbstversenkt wurde. Die Fotografien des Angehörigen der deutschen U-Bootswaffe sind hoch interessant und sehr selten. The naval career of this officer is depicted in numerous photo albums as well as loose images: training photos, numerous submarine images, turret views, photos of boat interiors and portraits. Further, field post letters, picture postcards, identification papers and other documents. From his family comes additional photo album and loose photos of the Imperial navy (father) and of the Luftwaffe during WW II. Very interesting images of military-historical importance. The objects are in various conditions and sizes, some photos are reproduced. Due to the great number of items and photos a pre-inspection is recommended. Ludwig Fabricius entered the Kriegsmarine as an officer candidate on 1 February 1939 and was watch officer on board of the submarines U 95, U 210 and U 666. In September 1943 he assumed command of U 821, later of training boat U 30 and by war's end U 721, which was scuttled on 8 May 1945 in the Gelting Bay (near Kiel).
