Wilhelm Körber (1901 - 1991) - "Ostseefischer", ausgestellt auf der Großen Deutschen Kunstausstellung 1944l auf Hartfaser, links unten monogrammiert, signiert und datiert "WK/Wilhelm Körber 44". Atmosphärische Strandszene. Rs. altes Etikett mit Angabe des Versicherungswertes von 5600 RM. Im originalen Profilrahmen, rs. handschriftlich bezeichnet "34", "141", "905" und "32". Stellenweise leicht beschädigt, Altersspuren. Bildmaße ca. 90 x 125 cm, Rahmenmaße ca. 109 x 144 cm. Zwischen 1937 und 1944 wurden ca. 12.550 Werke auf den GdK ausgestellt. Davon waren in den Katalogen nur ca. 550 abgebildet. Das Gemälde "Ostseefischer" ist insofern eine Rarität, da es sich um eines der wenigen Gemälde handelt, die als so repräsentativ angesehen wurden, um im offiziellen Katalog zu erscheinen (1944, S. 29). On reverse side old label stating insurance value of 5600 Reich Marks. In original profile frame, handwritten note on the back "34", "141", "905" and "32". Lightly damaged in places, signs of age. Picture dimensions approx. 90 x 125 cm, frame dimensions approx. 109 x 144 cm. Between 1937 and 1944 ca. 12550 works were exhibited at the GdK. Of those only about 550 were depicted in catalogues. The painting "Ostseefischer" is therefore a rarity, as it is one of the few paintings that was considered representative enough to appear in the official catalogue (1944, p. 29). Condition: II
