Grotesker, verkrüppelter Artist, hellenistisch, 3. - 2. Jhdt. v. Chr. Expressive Darstellung eines verkrüppelten Artisten mit Buckel und deformiertem Brustkorb, die Beine unnatürlich abgemagert. Der Kopf mit ausgemergeltem Gesicht und einem gequältem Ausdruck trägt auf dem Hinterkopf einen Hut. Hände und nicht erhaltene Füße umklammern ein Seil, an dem sich die groteske Gestalt hocharbeitet, während die Genitalien zwischen den Beinen nach hinten durchschwingen. Typische Genreszene des Hellenismus, dessen künstlerisches Schaffen sich auch der unschönen Erscheinungsformen und Schattenseiten menschlicher Existenz als bildnerischem Thema annimmt. Füße und Finger der rechten Hand abgebrochen, sonst intakt, mit ausgezeichnet erhaltener, antiker Oberfläche. Figur bis auf rötlich-dunkelbraune Kupritschicht, welche die antike Oberfläche konserviert hat, fachmännisch und mit hoher Präzision gereinigt. Höhe 10,7 cm.Ausgesprochen seltene hellenistische Kleinskulptur in vorzüglicher Qualität und Erhaltung. The head with a cadaverous face and a pained expression, a hat perched on the back of the head. The hands and feet (the latter no longer in place) clutching a rope as the grotesque figure works his way up, his genitalia swinging freely backwards between his legs. Typical genre scene of the Hellenistic period, whose creative expression also embraced the unaesthetic manifestations and lamentable aspects of human existence as an artistic theme. The feet and the fingers of the right hand broken away, otherwise intact, the antique surface in outstanding condition. Apart from the layer of reddish-dark brown copper, which has preserved the antique surface, the figure professionally cleaned with high precision.
