Rhinozeroshornbecher, sog. Lotosbouqet-Becher, China, 18. Jhdt. Durchbrochen beschnitzter Becher aus karamell- bis bernsteinfarbenem Rhinozeroshorn in Form eines Gebindes aus Lotosblättern, -blumen, Pfeilkraut und Getreidehalmen (Hirse). Über die Lippe des Bechers kriechen zwei Chi-Drachen, ein weiterer klettert an dem Lotosblatt herab, welches die Cuppa des Bechers bildet. Höhe 14 cm. Das zentrale Motiv eines Bouquet-Bechers ist sicherlich die Glück verheißende und Reinheit symbolisierende Lotospflanze. Aber auch die übrigen dargestellten Pflanzen besitzen ausgesprochenen Symbolcharakter: Die Hirsepflanze symbolisiert den Überfluss, das Pfeilkraut (Sagittaria sagittifolia) steht sowohl für Großzügigkeit als auch für Fülle in Zeiten der Not.Dazu ein Gutachten, welches die Authentizität des Materials des Bechers bestätigt.
