Bronzeapplike des Amors an Tropaeum gefesselt, römisch, 1. - 2. Jhdt. Applike von einem Gefäßhenkel, deren obere Bruchstelle vom Henkelansatz bereits in der Antike glatt geschliffen wurde und heute wie die gesamte Oberfläche mit einer herrlichen, olivgrünen, glatten Patina überzogen ist. Im Zentrum Amor, an ein Siegesdenkmal gefesselt. Links im Feld Schild und Schwertscheide, rechts Helm, Tuba und Pfeilköcher. Gesicht des Amor an oberster Stelle leicht abgerieben. Offenbar in der Antike bereits sehr geschätztes und sekundär verwendetes Kleinkunstwerk von hoher Qualität. Höhe 5,2 cm. Österreichische Privatsammlung, erworben in den 1980er Jahren.Zustand: II - III A Roman bronze appliqué depicting Cupid pinioned to a tropaeum, 1st - 2nd century Appliqué of a handle, the upper crack smoothened by the base of the handle in ancient times, both the crack and the entire surface covered with a marvellous olive-green, smooth patina. Cupid depicted in the centre, tied to a victory monument. Shield and scabbard on the left, helmet, tuba and arrow quiver on the right. Cupid's face slightly rubbed in the upper part. Small object of art of superior quality, obviously appreciated and used for secondary purposes in ancient times. Height 5.2 cm. Austrian private collection, acquired in the 1980s.Condition: II - III
