Kleines Fotoalbum SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillon 500Insgesamt 40 Aufnahmen überwiegend im Format 6 x 9 cm, vielfach beschriftet, rs. verschiedene Fotopapier-Hersteller. Die Bilder meist von der Aufstellung und Sprungausbildung des Bataillons 1943/44 in Kraljevo/Serbien (siehe Beschriftung). Dabei auch Portraits von einem abgeordneten Angehörigen des Panzer-Grenadier-Regiments "Theodor Eicke" (Ärmelband) mit angelegtem Abzeichen für Fallschirmschützen. Fotos in kleinem Fallschirmjäger-Erinnerungsalbum, Maße 11 x 7 x 2 cm.Ab November 1943 erfolgte für das Bataillon die Sprungausbildung an der Luftwaffen-Fallschirmschule III in Mataruška Banja bei Kraljevo (Serbien) und in Pápa (Ungarn). Die Angehörigen des Bataillons kamen u. a. aus Bewährungseinheiten der Waffen-SS. Das Bataillon kam anschließend auf dem Balkan zum Einsatz gegen jugoslawische Partisanen (Unternehmen "Rösselsprung" gegen Tito). Der Großteil des Bataillons kam dabei um, auch die folgenden Einsätze waren sehr verlustreich, und es überlebten, trotz wiederholter Neuaufstellung, nur wenige Angehörige des SS-Fallschirmjäger-Bataillons. Zustand: II A small photograph album of SS Parachute Battalion 500 A total of 40 images, mostly size 6 x 9 cm, with numerous inscriptions, reverses with various photo paper makers. The photos are mainly on the establishment and original training of the battalion 1943/44 in Kraljevo/Serbia (see inscription). Included are photos of a member of Panzer Grenadier Regiment "Theodor Eicke" (cuff title) wearing the Parachutists Badge. Photos are in a small parachutist commemorative album, dimensions 11 x 7 x 2 cm. The battalion was initially trained from November 1943 at Luftwaffe Parachute School III in Mataruška Banja near Kraljevo (Serbia) and at Pápa (Hungary). Members of the battalion came mostly from penal Waffen SS units. The battalion was engaged in anti-partisan operations in the Balkans (code name "Rösselsprung" against Tito). Despite reinforcements most of its members were killed during these and following operations. Very few members of this SS Parachute Battalion survived. Very rare photo documentation. Condition: II
