Scheibenfibel mit Pressblechdekor, merowingisch, 7. Jhdt. Bronzene Scheibe, auf Rückseite Nadelhalter und Backenscharnier zur Befestigung der Nadel, darin eiserner Stift. Nadel nicht erhalten. Vorderseite mit Pressblech in Treibarbeit überzogen und über den Rand der Bronzescheibe gebördelt. Zwischen drei konzentrischen Linien zwei Perlkreise. Innen kreuzförmig angeordnete ovale Zierfelder, darin jeweils V" mit auswärts gerollten Balken, darüber Haken. Im Zentrum nochmals konzentrische Linien mit Perlkreis, davon ausgehend Doppelbalken, die in Halbkreisen mit Punkt darin enden. Äußerster Rand an einer Stelle leicht umgebogen. Sonst intakt. Äußerst seltene Fibelform des germanischen Frühmittelalters in guter Erhaltung. Durchmesser 4,1 cm. Süddeutsche Privatsammlung, erworben in den 1990er Jahren im Kunsthandel."Zustand: II - A Merovingian disc fibula with pressed sheet metal ornamentation, 7th century Bronze disc, the back with a pin attachment and a loop hinge to secure the pin, containing an iron peg. Pin is missing. The front covered in pressed sheet metal with chased ornamentation and turned edge over the lip of the bronze disc. Two beaded circles between three concentric lines. On the inside, decorative oval segments in a cruciform arrangement, the bars of each V" coiling outwards, above which a hook. The centre with further concentric lines and a beaded circle, with double bars radiating off it, these topped with semicircles and a dot. The outermost edge slightly bent in one place, otherwise intact. Extremely rare shape of fibula dating from the Germanic early Middle Ages, in good condition. Diameter 4.1 cm.
