Große bronzene Kalpis, griechisch, 4. Jhdt. v. Chr. Bronze metallisch mit blaugrüner Patina. Bauchiger Korpus, auf kleinem ausgestellten Standfuß. Seitlich zwei Henkel, ein weiterer Henkel unter dem Hals. Rand mit Perl- und Eierstabverzierung. Kleine Ergänzungen an den Seiten und am Boden. Sehr schöne Erhaltung und Patina dieser gut proportionierten Kalpis, einer Sonderform der Hydria, mit grüner Edelpatina. Höhe 41,5 cm, Durchmesser des Korpus 31,5 cm (ohne Henkel). Aus Potsdamer Privatbesitz, Erwerb in den 1980er Jahren. Zustand: IIA large Greek bronze kalpis, 4th century B.C. Metallic bronze with blue-green patina. Bulbous body, on a small, protruding base. Two lateral handles, a further handle below the neck. The rim decorated with beads and egg-and-dart ornaments. Minor replacements on the sides and bottom. Excellently preserved, well-proportioned kalpis, a special type of the hydria, with beautiful green patina. Height 41.5 cm, diameter of body 31.5 cm (without handles).
