Ferner eine handschriftliche Referenz mit Maschinenabschrift eines Nelson Miles, Schwager des Wm. Daniels, Büchsenmacher und Werkzeugmacher sowie Inspektor beim Royal Woolwich Arsenal, London, der diese Pistole für die Dutch Army testete: "This Luger 9 M/M Pistol No. 8607 was assembled and thoroughly tested in 1928 by Mr. Wm. Daniels, gunsmith and toolmaker, who was inspector of a consignment of these pistols being made for The Dutch Army by the Roayl Woolwich Arsenal at Woolwich, London England and given to his brother Albert, since deceased, who gave it to me, his brother-in-law [...]". Unique specimen in almost new condition. Comes with a walnut casket, dimensions 26 x 21 x 8 cm, inlaid with green felt and further contents: two spare magazines, cleaning rod with grease box, tool, casket key and an extra rear toggle link with stamp tries "crown/W".
