Fanfarentuch und Fanfare der IV. Schiffs-Stammabteilung Ostsee bzw. 13. Schiffs-Stammabteilung in Sassnitz 1937/38 Das Fanfarentuch vs. wie die Truppenfahne der landgestützten Marineeinheiten gestaltet, blaues Wolltuch, die vier Eckkeile und das Zentrum aus weißem Seidenrips, das Hakenkreuz und die zwei Eisernen Kreuze in den Ecken aus schwarzer Kurbelstickerei, der Eichenlaubkranz, die Keileinfassungen sowie die unklaren Anker in gelber Kurbelstickerei gefertigt. Am Ober- bzw. Unterrand die Einheitsbezeichnungen "IV.S.S.O." und "13.S.St.A.". Die Rs. in Form der Reichskriegsflagge aus rotem Wolltuch mit weißen Seidenripsapplikationen und weißer bzw. schwarzer Kurbelstickerei. Beidseitig umlaufende Goldtressen und dreiseitiger Goldbouillonbehang. Oberseitig drei goldene Befestigungskordeln. Maße ca. 29 x 32,5 cm (ohne Goldbouillon). Einige Mottenschäden. Dazu die Fanfare aus Messing und Neusilber, der Trichterrand mit Hersteller und Truppenbezeichnung graviert "M. Goepel, Kiel. IV.S.S.O. No.38/4". Die IV. Schiffs-Stammabteilung Ostsee wurde am 1.1.1938 in 13. Schiffs-Stammabteilung umbenannt, die neue Bezeichnung wurde daher dem Fanfarentuch hinzugefügt. 1937 erhielt die IV.S.S.O. in Berlin die Truppenfahne verliehen und verlegte im September in den Standort Sassnitz. Bis Januar 1943 war dann die 13.S.St.A. dem 2. Admiral der Ostsee unterstellt und eingegliedert in das 1. Schiffs-Stamm-Regiment. Mit der Eingliederung in das 2. Schiffs-Stamm-Regiment wurde die Abteilung nach Frankreich verlegt und im Oktober 1944 aufgelöst und dem Heer eingegliedert. Es handelt sich hierbei nicht um das in der 71. Auktion unter Los 8244 (Zuschlag € 6.500) angebotene Ensemble, sondern um ein weiteres (diese Fanfare graviert "No. 38/4" in Auktion 71 "No. 38/5"), was jedoch die Vermutung nahelegt, dass das Tuch nicht zum Schellenbaum, sondern zur Fanfare gehört. Zustand: II -A trumpet cloth and clarion of IV Naval Training Detachment Baltic Sea and 13th Naval Training Detachment Sassnitz 1937/38 The obverse is designed after that of land-based naval units, blue woollen cloth, the four corners and centre of white silk rep, the swastika and two Iron Crosses at the corners in black chain-stitched embroidery, the oak leaf wreath, edging and fouled anchor fashioned in yellow chain-stitched embroidery. Unit designations at upper and lower edges "IV.S.S.O." and "13.S.St.A.". The reverse of red woollen cloth in the form of the Reich war flag with white silk rep appliqués and white-black chain-stitched embroidery. Both sides with continuous gold braid, three-sided gold bullion hanging. On the upper side three gold attachment cords. Dimensions ca. 29 x 32.5 cm (without gold bullion). A few moth traces. Included is the fanfare of brass and nickel silver, the bell edge engraved with maker and troop designation "M. Goepel, Kiel. IV.S.S.O. No.38/4". The IV Naval Training Detachment Baltic Sea was renamed the 13th Naval Training Detachment on 1 January 1938, and the new designation was added to the cloth. In 1937 the IV.S.S.O. was given its colours in Berlin and in September the unit was reposted to Sassnitz. Until January 1943 the 13.S.St.A. was subordinated to the 2nd Baltic Sea Admiral and a part of the 1st Naval Training Regiment. The detachment was then incorporated into 2nd Naval Training Detachment and transferred to France, where it was dissolved in October 1944 and absorbed into the Army. The trumpet cloth and trumpet on offer are a different set than the one offered and sold as lot 8244 in our 71st auction (hammer price € 6,500). The trumpet on hand is engraved "No. 38/4" whereas the trumpet in auction 71 bore the engraved number "no. 38/5". Those facts however suggest the assumption, that the cloth does belong to the trumpet and not to the Jingling Johnny. Condition: II -
