Svoboda Büromöbel und der aufstrebende österreichische Künstler Walter Pichler präsentierten 1966 erstmals die mittlerweile zu Designklassikern avancierten, futuristischen Galaxy-Möbel. Der vorliegende Galaxy Table wurde 2009 von Svoboda hergestellt. Dem Gestell aus silbereloxierten, perforiertem Aluminium liegt eine rechteckige Glasplatte mit abgerundeten Ecken auf.
Der Tisch trägt an der Mittelstrebe eine Hersteller-Plakette mit Seriennummer „GALAXY Design: Walter Pichler made by Svoboda Ser.-Nr. 000175“. Der Tisch ist in sehr gutem Originalzustand mit minimalen Gebrauchsspuren. Die Maße betragen 40 x 140 x 60 cm (H x B x T). (vsc)

Svoboda and the upcoming Austrian artist Walter Pichler first presented the legendary Galaxy project in 1966. This Galaxy table, manufactured by Svoboda in 2009, is a classic example of the Space Age Design Period in the 1960s. It is made of a silver anodized aluminum corpus and a rectangular rounded glass top.
The table is labelled and numbered on the corpus ‘GALAXY Design: Walter Pichler made by Svoboda Ser.-Nr. 000175’. The Galaxy table is in very good original condition with minimal traces of wear. The dimensions are 40 x 140 x 60 cm (height x width x depth). (vsc)
