„Pipistrello“, italienisch für Fledermaus, zählt zu den bekanntesten Entwürfen von Gae Aulenti. Die Form des Schirms ist von der Flügelform der Fledermaus inspiriert.

Zustand:
Der Zustand ist neben leichten Gebrauchsspuren gut. Während eines Kurzzeittestes funktionierte die Leuchte. Wir übernehmen keine Garantie auf die Funktionstüchtigkeit. Die Tischleuchte misst in der Höhe 72 cm. Der Durchmesser des Schirms beträgt 53 cm.

Gae Aulenti (1927-2012)
Die italienische Architektin, Designerin und Theoretikerin Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) arbeitete unter anderem bei der Zeitschrift „Casabella-continuità“ als Redakteurin und Grafikerin, unterrichtete Architekturkomposition an der Universität Venedig und am Politecnico in Mailand. Sie war von 1982 bis 1985 an der Neugestaltung des Museums für Moderne Kunst im Centre Georges Pompidou wie auch von 1985 bis 1986 am Palazzo Grassi in Venedig beteiligt, um nur ein paar wenige ihrer zahlreichen Projekte zu nennen. Gae Aulenti wurde für ihr vielseitiges Schaffen mehrfach ausgezeichnet. (tm)

‘Pipistrello’, Italian for bat, is one of the best-known designs by Gae Aulenti. The design of the shade is inspired by the wings of a bat.

Condition:
The table lamp is besides slight traces of use in good condition. The lamp was fully functioning during a short in-house test. There is no guarantee on functionality. The lamp measures in height between 72 cm and the shade is 55 cm in diameter.

The Italian architect, designer and theoretician Gae Aulenti (1927-2012) worked as an editor and graphic designer for the design magazine ‘Casabella-Continuità’, taught architecture composition at the University of Venice and at the Milan Polytechnic University. From 1982 to 1985 she took an active part in the redesign of the Museum of Modern Art in the Centre Georges Pompidou and also from 1985 to 1986 at the Palazzo Gassi in Venice, to name a few of her projects.
