Dieser Offsetdruck reproduziert das 200 x 200 cm große Gemälde „Seestück (Gegenlicht)“, das Gerhard Richter 1969 nach einer Fotocollage schuf.



Zustand:

Der Farboffsetduck ist insgesamt in sehr gutem Zustand mit einem Rest Filmklebeband unten an der rechten Kante. Die Darstellung misst 54 x 54 cm, die Blattmaße betragen 90 x 70 cm.



Gerhard Richter (geb. 1932)

Geboren 1932 in Dresden, begann Gerhard Richter nach seiner Ausbildung zum Bühnen- und Werbemaler 1951 sein Studium an den Kunstakademien in Dresden und Düsseldorf. Von 1971 bis 1993 war Richter Professor für Malerei an der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf. In seinen Werken benutzt der Künstler vielfach Fotografien als Vorlagen, diese Motive vergrößert er und überträgt sie dann in sein eigenes Medium – Gemälde oder Druckgraphiken. Er ist für seine abstrakten, expressiv farbigen Arbeiten bekannt, welche aus mehreren Farbaufträgen mit dem Rakel, Abkratzungen und Übermalungen bestehen. Richters experimentelle Auseinandersetzung mit der Wirklichkeit und ihrer malerischen Inszenierung ist in seinem gesamten Oeuvre, das weltweit geehrt wird, zu erkennen. Heute ist er einer der gefragtesten Künstler weltweit, seine Werke wurden international präsentiert, u.a. auf mehreren documenta-Ausstellungen, der Biennale in Venedig sowie im Zuge seiner Retrospektiven in New York und 2013 in der Neuen Nationalgalerie in Berlin. Gerhard Richter lebt und arbeitet in Köln. (fea)

This offset print reproduces the 200 x 200 cm large painting ‘Seascape (Contre-jour)’ that Gerhard Richter created in 1969 after a photo collage.



Condition:

The offset print in colors is overall in very good condition with a film tape residue at the lower right edge. The image measures 54 x 54 cm, the sheet dimensions are 90 x 70 cm.



Gerhard Richter (born 1932)

Born in 1932 in Dresden, Gerhard Richter first was trained as a stage and advertising painter before studying in the Academy of Art in Dresden and Düsseldorf. From 1971 to 1993 he worked as a professor for painting at the Academy of Art in Düsseldorf. Gerhard Richter often uses photographs as patterns, which are enlarged and subsequently transferred into his own preferred medium - paintings and prints. He is known for his abstract, expressively colorful works which consist of numerous color layers, abrasions and overpainting. Richter’s experimental engagement with actuality and the painterly staged reality are visible in his entire oeuvre which has been honored widely. Today he is one of the most sought after artists in the world and his works has been presented internationally, such as at various exhibitions at the documenta, at the Biennale in Venice and in large retrospectives in New York and at the National Gallery in Berlin in 2013.
