Diese anmutige Cartier-Kette aus dem Jahr 2005 besteht aus 18 Karat Gelbgold. Der Kettenanhänger ist in Form eines Kreuzes mit zentralem Diamant gestaltet und durch einen Karabinerverschluss mit der Kette verbunden. Das Schmuckstück kommt in originaler Cartier-Schatulle und mit zwei Zertifikaten.

Kette und Anhänger sind in gutem Zustand mit leichten Tragespuren. Die Gesamtlänge misst ca. 40 cm und das Gesamtgewicht beträgt ca. 19,55 Gramm.

Die exklusive französische Schmuck- und Uhrenfirma Cartier wurde bereits 1847 in Paris gegründet und erlangte mit der 1904 für den brasilianischen Piloten Alberto Santos Dumont entwickelten Armbanduhr „Santos de Cartier“ international Berühmtheit. Ein weiterer Meilenstein in der Geschichte der modernen Uhrmacherei war die Einführung der Tank-Armbanduhr im Jahre 1917, die mit ihren massiven Bandanstößen gestalterisch an englische Kampfpanzer des ersten Weltkriegs angelehnt war. Um der Nachfrage einer wachsenden internationalen Klientel gerecht zu werden, eröffnete Cartier neben der Boutique in der Rue de la Paix in Paris bald weitere Filialen in London, New York und St. Petersburg. Mit Verbindungen zu namhaften Mitgliedern des Adels, wurde Cartier Hoflieferant der wichtigsten Königshäuser des 20. Jahrhunderts. Seit Beginn entwirft die Maison innovative Schmuckstücke, inspiriert von der Flora und Fauna, welche oft durch innovative Formen und extravagante Farbkombinationen, wie etwa in der „Tutti Frutti“ Serie, überzeugen. Im Laufe der Jahre hat Cartier neben exquisiten floralen Motiven eine fantasievolle Menagerie erschaffen, die exotische Vögel, wundersame Chimären und grazile Raubkatzen umfasst. Das für Cartier typische Panthère-Motiv wurde erstmals 1914 für eine Damen-Armbanduhr kreiert, 1935 für die Herzogin von Windsor zum Pantherring und später zu der berühmten Schmuckserie „Panthère de Cartier“ weiterentwickelt. Prägend für die Entwicklung des Motivs war Jeanne Toussaint, die ab 1933 Kreativdirektorin bei Cartier war und den Spitznamen „La Panthère“ hatte. Als Metapher der Weiblichkeit ist der Panther bis heute ein Symbol des Hauses Cartier. Neben Schmuck und Uhren finden sich heute im Sortiment von Cartier auch diverse Lederwaren, Parfüms, Schreibgeräte, Feuerzeuge, Brillen und allerlei andere Accessoires. This graceful Cartier necklace was made 2005 and consists of 18 karat yellow gold. The necklace pendant is designed in the shape of a cross with a central diamond and connected by a lobster clasp with the necklace. This piece of jewelry comes in the original Cartier box and with two certificates.



Condition:

The necklace and pendant are in good condition with ligth signs of wear. The total length is c. 40 cm and the total weight measures c. 19.55 grams.

The exclusive French jeweler and watch company Cartier was founded in Paris in 1847 and gained international renown in 1904 with the ‘Santos de Cartier’, a wristwatch created for the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont.
