A GROUP OF 34 RUSSIAN SOVIET BADGES, CIRCA 1945-1995. Including three Orders of the Red Star, the lowest number engraved on verso 542,980; together with four Orders of the Great Patriotic War, 1st and 2nd class, including two screwback types and one suspension example numbered 1879 and another pin-on variant; plus WWII Victory medals, parachute qualification badges, motherhood badges, a facsimile of the Order of Alexander Nevsky, a field marshall Zhukov plaque, an Imperial Russian guard badge, a 1779 dated copper copek, together with six American military insignia comprising a sterling combat infantry badge, a cased bronze star named to Richard Keller (WWII style), five ribbon bars, and a DI.

Jackson’s guarantees the accuracy of the catalog description.  The catalog description indicates the items in this lot were produced from as early as 1945 to probably as late as 1995.  We believe that the detailed photos which are posted online and illustrate these items clearly convey to even the amateur collector, the age of each item.  Furthermore, our description clearly states that one of the items, indeed the one with the greatest potential value if it were authentic (The Order Of Alexander Nevsky) is, as clearly stated, a facsimile.  If you are not familiar with this word that means it is a copy and in our opinion a crude or poor copy at that.  As for the Red Stars they are all of the non-rivet construction and with mint mark Monetny Dvor with the lowest number being 542,980 and the highest number 2,623,112.  As for the Order of the Patriotic War one of the 1st Class and one of the 2nd Class examples is clearly a late 1985 issue.  1st Class serial number 1,081,376 and the 2nd Class serial number 2,458,778.  As for the Order of the Patriotic War 2nd Class with suspension device, that number is 19,879 it exhibits repairs or alterations and the pin back variant 1st Class exhibits no mint mark but is engraved with the issuance number 12,495.  Whether, that is authentic or not we do not know.  As for the two medals for Victory Over Germany in the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) these appear to be common issue examples.  If you have any further questions about any specific medal please let us know.
