Antonio apprese i primi rudimenti di pittura dal padre Francesco, sedicenne si trasferì a Venezia per allargare le sue conoscenze e la sua preparazione tecnica. Dopo questo primo soggiorno in laguna tornò in patria e iniziò ad operare come pittore autonomo, con un buon successo. Successivamente tornò nuovamente in Veneto, dove fece suoi gli eleganti modi di Nicolas Régnier. Nel periodo tra il 1657 e il 1658 eseguì parte del ciclo decorativo all'interno della chiesa della Madonna del Soccorso a Rovigo, assieme a Francesco Maffei, Antonio Zanchi e Pietro Liberi, con il quale strinse un sodalizio probabilmente come suo collaboratore. Dopo l'esperienza rodigina, Triva operò a Venezia, cogliendo la stima del Boschini che ne declamò le doti nella sua Carta del Navegar pitoresco. In seguito fu a Brescia e Torino e probabilmente anche in Istria e Dalmazia viste le opere ivi presenti. Terminò il suo girovagare a Monaco di Baviera dove soggiornò ed operò per ben trent'anni con ampio successo presso la locale corte. Come scrive Ruggeri, egli fu spesso confuso con Pietro Liberi sebbene abbia mantenuto la sua chiara matrice emiliana imperniata sulle lezioni del Guercino e di Luca da Reggio. Molto interessante, come notò Ruggeri, è osservare come Triva sia stato fonte d'ispirazione per Marco Liberi, di vent'anni più giovane e figlio di Pietro, che colse dall'esperto artista emiliano una propensione alla ricerca del bello ideale delle figure, di emiliana memoria, e la lucidità della sua materia pittorica che permetteva questa espressione.

1) Lots are offered for sale in public places by Lucas SRLs, which acts as an agent exclusively in its own name and on behalf of each seller under 'art.1704 Code Civ., The Lucas S.r.l. assumes in relation to the contractor or third parties other responsibilities in addition to the obligation arising from its role as agent.
2) Items are sold to the highest bidder, the auctioneer conducts the auction starting with the offer which it considers appropriate, depending on the value of the lot and competing offers. The auctioneer may bid on behalf of the seller up to the reserve price.
3) be preceded by the auction exhibition of objects, during which the Auctioneer or its representatives will be at your disposal for any clarification. I purchased lots will be available to customers for collection at the venue of the auction sale. The successful tenderer will have to withdraw their lots at his own risk and expense within 10 working days.

12) Right of Action:
