Russische Ikone aus der Werkstatt Malyshev des Dreifaltigkeitsklosters in Sergiev Posad, 1870

Die Ikone stammt aus der Werkstatt des Ivan M. Malychev. Er wurde im Jahre 1802 in Palech geboren und starb am 30. April 1880. Vermutlich gehörte er zu den Leibeigenen des Klosters. Seit der Mitte des 19. Jh. malte er Ikonen und wurde Leiter der Werkstatt, welche für das Zarenhaus, für die Kirche und die begüterte Oberschicht malte. 1877 verlegte Malychev die Werkstatt in das Dorf Sergiev Posad. Nach seinem Tod wurde sie von seinen Söhnen weitergeführt. Die Inschrift unten lautet: "Gemalt wurde diese Ikone in der Ikonenmaler Werkstatt der Sergius Lavra unter der Leitung des Künstlers Ivan Malyshev im Jahr 1870" Der rückseitige Stempel besagt: "Künstler I.M. Malyshev Dreifaltigkeits Sergius Lavra". Die Inschrift auf der Rückseite besagt: "Geweiht auf den Gebeinen des Ehrwürdigen Sergius"
