Oktober 1909 als Prinzeß Eitel Friedrich bei Blohm & Voss in Hamburg vom Stapel und wurde 1910 als zweiter Neubau des Deutschen Schulschiff-Vereins als Segelschulschiff für die seemännische Grundausbildung in Dienst gestellt. Nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg wurde das Schiff 1920 als Reparationsleistung zunächst nach Großbritannien und dann nach Frankreich gebracht. Das Komitee der Nationalen Flotte zu Pomorze (Pomorski Komitet Floty Narodowej) kaufte das Schiff 1929 als Ersatz der Bark Lwów für den Betrag von 7.000 Pfund Sterling. Am 13. Juli 1930 wurde das Schiff nach gründlicher Überholung an die Staatliche Schifffahrtsschule in Gdynia (Gdingen) übergeben. Wegen des deutschen Überfalls auf Polen verlegte die Schiffsführung die Dar Pomorza nach Stockholm ins neutrale Schweden, wo das Schiff für die Dauer des Zweiten Weltkrieges verblieb. Nach Kriegsende traf die Dar Pomorza am 25. Oktober 1945 wieder in ihrem polnischen Heimathafen Gdingen ein. 1946 unternahm das Schiff seine erste Ausbildungsfahrt nach dem Krieg. In ihrer Zeit bei der Polnische Handelsflotte wurden mit der Dar Pomorza 102 Fahrten mit insgesamt ca. einer halben Million Seemeilen durchgeführt; 13.384 Schüler der Schifffahrtsschule wurden insgesamt ausgebildet. 1982 wurde das Schiff außer Dienst gestellt. - The ship was launched on 12 October 1909 as Princess Eitel Friedrich Blohm & Voss in Hamburg and was put into service in 1910 as the second new building of the German Schooling Association as a sail training ship for the nautical basic training. The Committee of the National Fleet at Pomorze (Pomorski Komitet Floty Narodowej) bought the ship in 1929 as a replacement of the Bark Lwów for the amount of 7,000 pounds sterling. On 13 July 1930, the ship was handed over after thorough overhaul to the State Maritime School in Gdynia (Gdynia). Because of the German invasion of Poland, the ship's command transferred the Dar Pomorza to Stockholm in neutral Sweden, where the ship remained for the duration of the Second World War. After the war, the Dar Pomorza met on October 25, 1945 again in their Polish home port Gdynia. In 1946 the ship undertook its first training trip after the war.
